What is Bowline Pro?

Bowline Pro is the record system and crew ops platform commercial dive teams use across the full life of a dive: plan, pre-dive checklist, topside view while the dive runs, post-dive actuals, sign-off, amendments, and audit. Roles for Diver, Supervisor, Ops Manager, Admin, and Client (via Brief) across iPhone, iPad, and web. One platform.

The dive plan is captured before the dive runs. After the dive surfaces, the supervisor logs the actuals while they are fresh; sign-offs run through Supervisor, Diver countersign, and Admin review. The original record and every later amendment are preserved together, with who, when, and why on each change. Nothing gets quietly overwritten.

The Operations Manager dashboard runs your operation in real time across every team and site: pre-dive gating, topside live view, sign-off queue, expiring certs, equipment service and defects, gas blend tracking, emergency response, and built-in messaging. Records are yours and exportable any time.

The problem with paper. Paper logs get filled in from memory hours after the dive is done, sometimes days. What ends up on the page is a best guess under deck lights. When something goes wrong six weeks later and a client, an insurer, or a lawyer asks what happened, the answer is whatever someone remembered to write down.

How it works

Plan, run, hold

01
Plan

The supervisor works the dive plan and pre-dive checklist before the diver leaves the surface: standby, gas, equipment certs. Skips and overrides need a stated reason and a name.

02
Run

Topside live view while the dive runs, and one Operations Manager dashboard for every team and site: sign-offs, certs, equipment, gas, and built-in messaging.

03
Hold

Post-dive actuals, structured sign-offs, and the original record preserved alongside every amendment, with who, when, and why on each change.

FAQ

Questions, answered

What kind of record does Bowline Pro produce?

A record built around evidence quality. Depth, time, status, and sign-offs are entered while the dive is happening, by the people doing the dive, on a device the supervisor has in hand. The original record is preserved. Any amendment requires authentication, a stated reason, and Admin approval, logged with who and when. The kind of record an insurer or defense counsel can rely on six months after the fact.

Can my clients see my records in real time?

Yes, through Bowline Brief, a paid add-on to your Bowline Pro subscription. Brief gives you a branded portal you can invite your customers (operators, EPC contractors, marine clients) into. They see only the records you share with them, read-only. You pay for Brief; your clients receive access by your invitation.

Does it work offline?

Yes. The app captures everything offline on the boat, including depth, status, and sign-offs, and syncs automatically when you are back in range. It is designed from the ground up for remote dive sites.

Who can change a record after it is signed?

Amendments run through a structured, authenticated workflow: a diver or supervisor requests a change with a stated reason, and the Admin holds final approval. The original record is always preserved alongside the amendment, and the amendment log is included in any export.

How much does it cost?

Bowline Pro: Pro Solo $99/month (1 site, up to 4 divers), Pro Small $349/month (up to 3 teams / 10 divers), Pro Mid-size from $899/month (up to 6 crews / 50 divers), Pro Large from $1,999/month (up to 20 crews / 200 divers), Pro Enterprise on request. All billed annually; month-to-month is available. Bowline Brief starts at $49/month. Bowline Reef is $9.99/month standalone, or free for every diver attached to a Pro org.

How do I start?

Pro Solo signs up directly. For Pro Small and above, book a 20-minute demo and we will set up your teams. Divers attached to a Pro org are enrolled in Reef at no cost on first sign-in, and Brief can be added at any time once you have an active Pro subscription.
